Zawawi Business Development Co (ZBD), one amongst the 70 wholly owned and associate companies from the premier and diversified OMZEST group, have been synonymous to introducing products & services with latest technology to Oman from world class companies across the world. Having built strong business associations with some of the big multinational names in the engineered products, specialty & marine industry, we strongly believe in “partnerships through Value addition”. It is very evident from the fact that our business partnerships with the principals are several decades old.
Our Firsts
Leading the path through Engineering Excellence
1982
Supplied the critical duty API 610 Centrifugal pumps to Oman’s first crude oil refinery in Mina al Fahl through EPC contractor Mitsui Engineering in 1982.
1993
We introduced the first ever break water protection using Accropodes in Oman way back in 1993 for the Port Sultan Qaboos container terminal. Accropode was developed by Sogreah France. who signed up collaboration agreement with us in 1991.
1999
Oman’s first All Concrete pontoons was supplied by us to Dhalkut Fishery harbour in 1999. The successful execution of this by our principal S.F.Marina Sweden has set a major shift in the pontoons choice of the MoAF from steel to Concrete.

2002
Supplied the first lot of 8 Nos of Titanium tube heat Exchangers for the DHDS project in MAF Refinery OQ in the year 2002, followed by 14 Nos for the Isomerisation project in 2004.
